Success from CPD101

The skills that I've learned from this class will benefit me greatly upon my departure to the University of Arizona, as I will have a lot of extra skills and tips in which to utilize, in order to better my productivity, as well as grades.

Diversity

I don't find anything too unique about myself (as someone else can be just like me, along with the same circumstances) though my strong points would have to be 'working with computers'.

I have learned a lot about diversity through 'pen pals', though instead of 'pen and paper', I used social networks and online gaming. This does not, however, help me understand how their societies work (visually). I plan to travel to Europe within the next couple of years to further improve my outlook on other cultures, thus helping my learn the difference and alikes, in which we (USA) have with them.

Wish I would have known

Before starting college, I wish I would have known that my suite-mates would be loud, all night, every night. Other than that discrepancy, everything else was mostly as I expected it would be.





Dear (high school student),

before you start and obtain your dorm key, make sure you know who you are rooming with, and that you know who the next door suite-mates are as well. Besides that college is great, and a nice change from the high school environment.

Responsible spending

Describing money as a "scarce commodity" that comes to those who "provide economic value", makes complete sense, as the people not working (or helping the economy) in anyway, are just a waste of space and potential (besides children and the retired.) I plan to greatly help the economy, value wise, by getting a great educational background and joining the United States Air Force (somewhere in the technical field), though I have a while longer to go until that point.

The main difference between a debit card and a credit card, is that one is based on what you currently have (debit) and thee other consists of spending what you do not have (credit). To me, in all instances, I would always prefer debit, as it doesn't make any sense to spend what you don't have. Never have I been irresponsible enough to blow more than half my money, hence not using a credit card for anything. As for loans, I can see, how in some instances, that would be reasonable, for example paying a large quantity, yet necessary service, such as hospital bills.

Great Writing

In order for me to produce my best work, I review it multiple times. After I get a couple of friends to peer review and give me the cons. And last, I take it to a tutor to discus the remaining flaws in my paper.

In order for me to start my paper, I write down ideas about the 'subject' and how I will approach it throughout my draft (up to my final.) From there, I organize the thoughts in order to keep it on a specific part of the subject.

Preparation of an Exam

Steps I take in preparation of an exam, consists of the following; gathering in-class notes, previous tests taken (review, specifically what I had trouble on), and find a study partner in which to exchange notes and strategies with. These strategies (of mine) do not change much at all, as it is common knowledge (if you want to achieve a 'nice' grade.)

I do agree with the authors, my thoughts, as stated above, are to study well, and that the very few question you may happen to get incorrect, are to be reviewed, to understand better what you may not have understood, and next time have thee ability to correct the mistake.
